One stitch - one pixel. Following a career in textile design, Christa Michel turned her hands to knits. Handling colour in a playful manner, each one of the arresting designs reminiscent of a painting or photograph. They are handmade by the designer herself and most recently also produced at well-known manufacturers in Switzerland and Germany.
Expanding the awarded fashion design, her knitting becomes art. Hangings and sculptural works were displayed in exhibitions in Zurich, where Christa Michel lives and knits.
